Project Description:
Bomanite Licensee, Colorado Hardscapes was contracted by GH Phipps to dye, stain and polish the floors at Fort Lupton Readiness Center, including installing decorative sawcuts and an inlayed vinyl emblem. The results were a durable, low-maintenance floor fit for military grade while adding aesthetic appeal. Because GH Phipps wanted to hire Colorado Hardscapes for the polished concrete work, we were also able to be awarded the stamped entry under the same contract.
The Assembly Hall was also added to Colorado Hardscapes contract as a paste polish finished floor. This room is multi-function where troops assemble, events are held, and even vehicles are stored and worked on occasionally. They needed a low maintenance and affordable flooring option to be able to handle the traffic requirements, but not break the budget.
The Fort Lupton Readiness Center received the 2012 People’s Choice Award from the AIA Colorado South Chapter. The Readiness Center is an iconic presence integrated into the community fabric of the City of Fort Lupton.
Sustainability is of utmost importance to the National Guard, reflected in its commitment to the environment and a major factor in the LEED Gold Certification awarded to the Readiness Center.
